Margie Arrowood Obituary, Death – Margie Blackwell Arrowood, aged 84, of 121 Brittany Road, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 1st, 2024, at Cherokee Medical Center. Her life, marked by love, dedication, and service, leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy. Born in Cherokee County, Margie was the beloved wife of James “Jimmy” Arrowood and the daughter of Lloyd Eugene and Zillie Parker Blackwell. Throughout her life, Margie exemplified love and devotion, both to her family and her community.

Margie was a dedicated employee at Nestle and a committed member of Central Baptist Church. Her tireless work ethic and unwavering commitment to her faith enriched the lives of all who knew her. Margie’s impact extended beyond the workplace and the church walls, as she selflessly gave of herself to those in need.

Margie is survived by her loving children, Jimmy Arrowood and Beth Shepherd (Patrick), as well as her brother-in-law, Joe Arrowood, sister-in-law, Mary Littlejohn, grandson, Allen Shepherd (Amy), grandchildren, Amelia Shepherd, Andrew Shepherd, and Meghan James, and niece, Shelia Gunnells. Their cherished memories of Margie will continue to bring comfort and solace in the days ahead.

  Honoring a Life Well-Lived

The Arrowood family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Central Baptist Church, followed by funeral services officiated by Rev. Clay Jones and Rev. Richard Smith. Margie will be laid to rest at Oakland Cemetery, surrounded by the beauty of nature she so dearly loved. In tribute to Margie’s memory, pallbearers Brian Gunnells, B.J. Bradley, Bryan Stepp, Jack Littlejohn, Joe Arrowood, and Allen Shepherd will carry her with honor and respect.

As we bid farewell to Margie Blackwell Arrowood, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
