These grandchildren, who are undoubtedly Dennis’s favorite people, carry on his heritage. Dennis Murphy was a pillar of the Massapequa Coast Little League, therefore his influence went beyond his immediate family.

Bringing a Life to a Close: Honoring the Community: He gave the young athletes in the area years of his time, focus, and coaching knowledge. His dedication to using coaching to impart important life lessons and a love of sports in his players had a profound impact. At 4980 Merrick Rd., Massapequa Park, NY, the Massapequa Funeral Home, Inc. will be the venue for the repose on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

In Dennis’s Honor: Dennis Murphy’s funeral liturgy is scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church in Massapequa, New York. At Pinelawn Memorial Park, there will be a funeral service after the Mass. The Murphy family respectfully begs that donations be made in Dennis’ memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in lieu of flowers. These contributions, which acknowledge the value of aiding causes near and dear to Dennis’s heart, will fund diabetes research in his memory.
